These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of freememegenerator.cc (the "Site") and the meme-making tool on it (the "Service"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. The Service

Free Meme Generator lets you add text to images and download the result as a PNG file. The Service is free and does not require an account. All image editing happens in your web browser; we do not receive, store or review the images you edit or the memes you create. See our Privacy Policy for details.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

2. Who can use it

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the Site with the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the images you upload and the memes you create. Because your content never leaves your device, we claim no license to it and have no access to it.

You are solely responsible for the content you create and for how you use, share or publish it. That includes making sure you have the rights to the images you use and that your memes comply with the law and with the rules of any platform where you post them.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create or distribute content that:

  • infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
  • harasses, threatens, defames or bullies any person;
  • promotes violence, terrorism, or hatred against people based on protected characteristics;
  • is sexually explicit involving minors, or sexualizes minors in any way;
  • shares another person's intimate images or private information without consent;
  • is intended to deceive, such as fake documents, impersonation or fraud; or
  • is otherwise unlawful.

You also agree not to interfere with the Site's operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, scrape it at a volume that degrades service, or tamper with or block its advertising in ways that breach the ad provider's policies.

We don't host user-generated memes, so infringing content is generally not on our servers. If you believe material that we do host on the Site infringes your copyright, email contact@freememegenerator.cc with a description of the work, where it appears on the Site, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized. We will review and respond promptly.

6. Our content

The Site's design, code, text, logo and graphics are owned by Free Meme Generator or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for personal and commercial meme-making, but you may not copy, resell or republish the Site itself or its code without our written permission. Font names listed in the editor refer to fonts installed on your own device; we do not distribute them.

7. Advertising and third parties

The Site displays ads served by Google AdSense and may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party ads, sites, products or services, and your dealings with them are solely between you and that third party. How ad providers use cookies is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with your device or browser. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Free Meme Generator and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, or from any content you create with it. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to zero, except where the law does not allow that limitation.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Free Meme Generator and its operator from any claims, damages or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you create with the Service or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of the Site is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms takes away consumer protection rights you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
